Adobe Apple Alliance: Whats in store for iPhoners
Posted by: yaser In: News| Technology
Since people simply can’t resist speculating about iPhone’s future and what Apple will have to offer in near future, why should we stay behind. Ever since iPhone first came out there had been heated debates among friends about how revolutionary is it? Is it really worth all the appreciation? Rest aside it did spark a revolution that is clearly evident now. At that time one more important issue that came up was the lack of basic apps in iPhone, which become a hurdle in performing basic tasks like sending MMS etc. We concluded that its intentional and Apple in some way wants to create a software market which eventually happened with introduction of App Store.
Anyways Apple has been denying support for Flash in the past (due to several reasons mainly performance but seriously a phone with one third of the power can pull many basic things off) . Recently Adobe and Apple have joined hands to bring Flash to iPhone. Certainly Apple knows that with Flash lite more and more phones and brands are joining the band wagon.
What I perceive from this deal is that Flash on iPhone would do a lot more than just being itself and thats the exact reason for the deal. Imagine a Flash app that is as good as supporting all the catchy features iPhone SDK could give, some of the examples could be
- A Flash app with Multi Touch support
- Some app with all the bling bling of accelerometer
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a Flash game could support all this. Thousands of FLASH games and other stuff will be ported on iPhone creating even bigger economy of scale and pushing the boundaries of mobile apps market even further. Well all these remain speculations till it comes out, lets see and wait
