Over billing in Warid

Ever since Warid’s E-bill came out I switched to it. For first few months  I used to give the monthly bill a look however as the time passed I got busier and seldom looked at it. It was this month that I noticed something really strange. I have been using ZoomU (virtually unlimited sms package) for quite sometime now. While skimming through the monthly bill I found out that there were Rs. 100 charged for sms other than ZoomU charges. Just to check I opened some other bills and found out that it was happening for the past few months. After thinking about various possibilities of how it could happen i called Warid Help line.

Warid CSR: Asalam-o-alaikum.. bla bla bla.
Me: I wanted to inquire about this thing……
Warid CSR: Sir, let me verify. Bla bla bla amount has been charged in these months. Sir this must be some miss printing.
Me: ( I was like :D ) Look i know how these systems work, how this could be a typo or miss-print, you have got to be kidding me.
Warid CSR: Sir, these sort of things happen thats why we send the bill to our customers so that they could verify these mistakes.
Me: ( Now rolling on the floor laughing, This guy is not making any sense at all) Look if Warid was over charging me for GPRS usage how could i verify that?
Warid CSR: Sir….(no more words from him)
Me: Ok, What i want from you is firstly this money should be given back to me. Secondly i want this complaint to be routed to the relevant department and i would like them to get back to me through phone call and tell me what happened.
Warid CSR: Ok Sir, your complaint has been routed and we will get back to you.

The main idea behind posting this incident is that don’t trust your provider for your billing and check your bills on regular basis.

I got my money back for almost 12 bills and it was 987 rupees!

this type of mistake shouldn’t be happening in the first place. someone need to teach them how to win Customer trust

I tell you what! I hate all these helplines! there reasoning never match! if you would have called again! I am damn sure, somebody would have told you a different story! I just hate the fact that you cant do anything about it! you cant locate the old guy (unless you are really observing and remember the name that he tells in the beginning, at the speed of 10 words per second) who sort of ‘lied’ to you. They have developed habbits to just shut the customers mouth. If you ever get a chance to talk to somebody responsible! please take me with you! aena d pan d……:@

This really really a very helpful information I am also a victim of such billing, I just called the customer service and got the same response that ur request has been logged and we will contact you shortly.

I agree….
Mobilink did same thing to me… my this months bill is over Rs.4000 and thats not possible… i know how much i use.. CSR said when you will receive bill you can verify but now pay your bill…. :@ i paid 3 times and they still say pay more….

WARID a Reip-Off

No wonder they got money reipping off poor people; WARID PrePaid customer should know if you go over the limit which is your security deposit then they will stop your outgoing as well as incoming calls too yes incomming calls too is’nt it non-sense it’s better to be prepaid customer atleast you get incoming calls. eventhough postpaid bring more business than prepaid paid

Hi there ,can any body tel me wats the conections chrges on a PRE-PAID SIM if i use GPRS..like wil i be charged each time i connect to GPRS or wil i be only charged for my data being downloaded etc…..on a PRE-PAID SIM….and wat r the per MB charges…couldnt find that any where on the site…i have zem60sec package….

Well all other operators offer per MB charges (which are billed as per usage), Zong also does the same but Zong recently offered a package in which you can be billed for the time you are connected to GPRS and not for the data you download.

Warid charges Rs. 15 per MB and there are no charges for connecting to the service
