Ever since Warid’s E-bill came out I switched to it. For first few months I used to give the monthly bill a look however as the time passed I got busier and seldom looked at it. It was this month that I noticed something really strange. I have been using ZoomU (virtually unlimited sms package) for quite sometime now. While skimming through the monthly bill I found out that there were Rs. 100 charged for sms other than ZoomU charges. Just to check I opened some other bills and found out that it was happening for the past few months. After thinking about various possibilities of how it could happen i called Warid Help line.
Warid CSR: Asalam-o-alaikum.. bla bla bla.
Me: I wanted to inquire about this thing……
Warid CSR: Sir, let me verify. Bla bla bla amount has been charged in these months. Sir this must be some miss printing.
Me: ( I was like
) Look i know how these systems work, how this could be a typo or miss-print, you have got to be kidding me.
Warid CSR: Sir, these sort of things happen thats why we send the bill to our customers so that they could verify these mistakes.
Me: ( Now rolling on the floor laughing, This guy is not making any sense at all) Look if Warid was over charging me for GPRS usage how could i verify that?
Warid CSR: Sir….(no more words from him)
Me: Ok, What i want from you is firstly this money should be given back to me. Secondly i want this complaint to be routed to the relevant department and i would like them to get back to me through phone call and tell me what happened.
Warid CSR: Ok Sir, your complaint has been routed and we will get back to you.
The main idea behind posting this incident is that don’t trust your provider for your billing and check your bills on regular basis.
