Warid Postpaid bill payment through scratch card
Posted by: yaser In: Telecommunication| Undesireable Sound
Few days ago i was just checking Warid’s website when i came across there new service through which user can pay there postpaid bill through scratch card. I was impressed by the fact that finally someone realized that bill payment is a “PIA”. Later i realized that the service was as always offered by Telenor way before Warid did. Regardless of the fact I found it very useful as I am that kind of a person who is often busy in a lot of things and often ends up getting his outgoing calls block due to delayed bill payment. Interestingly it happens on Sundays most of the time
and at that time you have no method to pay the bill because
- Business Centers and franchises are closed
- I have Alfalah Credit card but they ask me to call from my mob to pay the bill(how can that be possible) or my home phone (if i am not at home then thats also an issue.)
- Online payment (that was good but every good thing must come to an end! Jeyo Warid)
With this new scratch card payment solution, life could become a lot easier (as I can combine it with the UBL online prepay scratch card service). This reason and my natural laziness led me to try this service. Keeping the stability of the service in mind I sent a 1K scratch card , keeping my fingers crossed but WTH SMS bounced back saying you cannot SMS (obviously due to blocked outgoing.) Still wanted to give it a try I grabbed a cell from a friend and used “Pay family/friend bill” method to recharge. Got instant notification that my phone bill has been adjusted. I was like wOw. 30 minutes down the time line and i was still sitting there staring at my phone because the outgoing wasn’t working. Called there help line and was asked to hold for 5 minutes and then was informed that it will be working after 10 minutes. After an hour had to make another call to there help line and almost yelled at them to make it work and they gave me lame excuses like you haven’t paid enough if its less than 60 % then outgoing starts working automatically and you were few rupees short. I wonder what kind of idiots they have to make such policies and excuses (even at 70% bill status your outgoing still works and only gets blocked at 90%).
With this horrible expererince its very much unlikely for me to use that option again, however there is one more fact that deserves to be mentioned here. you can also use this service dialing by 321 which for don’t know what reason was not mentioned on there site :/
