Ever since I bought Imate Kjam I have been using it as a flash drive as well(with 1GB card installed), most of the times I transfer data between my office and home pc. I have active sync installed on both the pcs however one major problem I have is that whenever I want to take some data to a friend’s place I simply can’t because of the fact that WM devices require active sync to connect to pc.
Reluctantly I had settled with the issue but few days back I was just google’ing some stuff and i found a software that completely fits mine as well as many other WM device owner’s requirements.
Card export II by Softic is a software that implements (rather emulates) USB interface on the storage card which results in your device being recognized as a USB storage device (or flash drive). So you can now transfer data to any pc without installing anything on the pc.
It has a simple menu interface which helps you in choosing between active sync and flash drive mode. Even though the speed is not blistering with default options but it surely gives you an option to carry one less electronic gadget with you. Besides in intial testing it proved to be very stable as user can switch between async and usb mode while connected to PC and software response remains very stable.

In USB Mode
Pros:
- No flash drive required to be carried anymore
- Not a resource hog
- Simple to Use
- No installation required on PC
- Proved very stable on intial testing
Cons
- Not so speedy (still doing some research on that will update if any development occurs)
- Cost somewhere around the price of an actual USB Drive
